Recipes

I should post some! Today I made some pretty good fried potatoes! We wanted something other than mashed potatoes, so I looked up online to see how to do some easy, fast, fried potatoes. I found a recipe and kind of tweaked it. I used my biggest pan, which I believe is 10 inches. I put in about 2 TBS butter and melted it on low-med heat. I used regular russet potatoes, use about 5-6 depending on how much you want. I peeled and cleaned the potatoes then sliced about 1/4 in thick and threw them in the melted butter. I seasoned them using salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, Lawrys and a little bit of Cajun seasoning. put a lid on them and let them cook for about 10 mins, then flipped them with a big turner. Put the lid back on and cooked them another 10 mins or so. I made sure to move them around and tried my best to get them all browned. They cooked for maybe 30 mins total. I did put a little more butter on top about half way through, so they wouldn't dry out. I think one thing I will do differently is probably coat the potatoes in a little bit of oil and then season them, like in a bag or something, so they all get seasoned thoroughly. the way I did it, the ones on top got the most seasoning, and it kind of filtered down. All in all, they were tasty! You can also add garlic cloves, onion, whatever you want!
